Avoid the “Too Good to Be True” Deals

At some point, 20 percent of the copier dealers in this country will run a scam of some type to get customers to buy a new copier, and the worst part is that once a company starts using scams to make money, they think nothing of it. A lot of dealers in today’s world will give you the old scam that they cannot find the parts for your copier. They do this so that you will buy a new copier from them.

In a different scam, the dealership sends out a technician to canvas the area and search for new customers. After looking at your service contract, they will respond politely that your current copier company is ripping you off, and that you will save $500 every year if you sign with them. However, you will first have to put $1,500 into your copier to bring it up to par with the market. In other words, you will have to pay for any part that needs replacement within the next year.

We have seen this on a wide scale, and it is because it works. People support the companies that pull these scams, which leads to it happening on a larger scale. The honest companies have a hard time making ends meet, and that results in less honest companies. If your company has run any of these scams on you, why do you support them? Knowing they are only concerned with your money, stop rewarding them. Find an honest dealership that runs their company with integrity.
